The primary mission of uniform patrol is protecting life and property as well as ensuring a positive quality of life for all the residents and visitors of Little Egg Harbor Township.
The Patrol Division is considered the backbone of any police department. The men and women in uniform serve the Little Egg Harbor township residents 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They respond to emergencies, requests for police services and quality of life issues. In addition, they conduct proactive patrols responsible for criminal interdiction and traffic enforcement.
The Patrol Division consists of four squads working 12 hour shifts. Each squad is supervised by a Sergeant who reports to the Patrol Division Commander.

- Neighborhood Disputes
- Juvenile Problems
- Suspicious Vehicles / Persons
- Crime in Progress Calls
- Residential / Commercial Alarms
- Motor Vehicle Accidents
- First Aid / Fire Calls
- Animal Complaints
- Theft / Burglary Complaints
- All Community Policing Issues
